The attention of the Commission has been drawn to its Memo written to the Political Parties and some printing houses informing them about shortfalls and some discrepancies with the Ballot Papers that were dispatched to the Bono and Volta Regions.

The said Memo is circulating on social media.

We wish to inform the General Public that as part of its transparency and accountability arrangements, staff at the regional and district levels are directed by the Commission to review and verify all Ballot Papers received by them, to guarantee their accuracy and to ensure that they tally with the Ballot Statistics provided to the Printers and Political Parties.

This is a standard procedure of the Commission. It is important to note that this additional verification process unearths any issues with the Ballot Papers and enables corrections to be carried out ahead of the Elections.
