Kwamena Duncan has stridently condemned the conduct of the Members of the 8th Parliament of Ghana.
It could be recalled that the current Parliament started with a near melee that involved some members snatching ballots and chewing them whereas others almost got into a brawl during voting to elect the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin.
This Parliament has also been characterized by series of confrontations and misunderstandings nearly stalling government businesses.
Recent happenings in the House where the Minority wants to claim the majority chamber following the Speaker’s order to vacate some seats have compelled Parliament to go on an indefinite suspension.
Commenting on this 8th Parliament and their brouhaha during 'Kokrokoo' panel discussion show on Peace FM, Kwamena Duncan, a former Minister for Central Region, described it as the “worst” in Ghana’s history.
Expressing utter disappointment in the parliamentarians, he said; “For this Parliament…it will go down as the worst Parliament. Its beginning was chaotic and the finishing is even going to be unimaginable.”
