Former NDC Regional Chairman and social commentator, Bernard Allotey Jacobs says the 'actual' reason the NDC embarked on a demonstration was not to demand a forensic audit of the voters register.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has alleged that it has identified some errors in the voters register and has therefore asked the Electoral Commission (EC) for a forensic audit.
However, the EC says an audit was unnecessary and called on the largest opposition party to come to the table.
The NDC not satisfied with the EC's response embarked on a demonstration dubbed "enough is enough" to reiterate its demands; an independent forensic audit.
Allotey Jacobs speaking to the issue on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' said the demonstration was to 'test the ground' and not demand a forensic audit.
"As a strategist, the enough is enough demonstration was to test the grounds: are Ghanaians supporting us? Are our people ready to mobilise? Testing whether they'll be victorious and that is the essence of the demonstration and not a forensic audit" he stated.
