NPP Member of Parliament(MP) for Anyaa Sowutuom constituency, Dickson Adomako Kissi has lamented the unemployment situation in Ghana.
The MP, speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show, was worried about the number of youths who are seeking job and unfortunately haven't got it yet.
To him, in as much as Ghana likewise the entire world is suffering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia/Ukraine war, to the youth, this is none of their business stating what they aim for is to find job opportunities and grab these opportunities.
"They need jobs and it is also difficult to deliver. Currently, our financial strength as a nation has reduced," he said.
However, Hon. Adomako Kissi bemoaned the pressure from the youth on government in the wake of the economic meltdown worldwide stressing, "in all of this, the electorates are doing Oliver Twist, asking for more despite the worldwide challenges".
This notwithstanding, he strongly believed the government through the Finance Ministry is doing everything including to provide funds for small-scale businesses to improve the living conditions of the citizenry.
