IMF: "When You Talk, They Brand You An NDC Member. . .What Kind of Country Are We Building? - Pratt Fumes

Seasoned Journalist, Kwesi Pratt has poured his frustrations that his submissions on national issues are usually taken with a political twist.

Mr. Pratt shared his worries on Peace FM's "Krokrokoo" show Tuesday morning while speaking on the Government of Ghana's resort to an IMF bailout.

The Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper reiterated his stance that the IMF bailout will not help Ghana achieve the needed progress but in expounding on his position on the international financial assistance to the country, Mr. Pratt was alarmed by critics' statements that tend to say he is on National Democratic Congress (NDC) payroll.

Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi, he said; "When you talk, they brand you an NDC member. When you change your mouth, you are called NPP member. One person can be an NDC member in the morning, in the afternoon he becomes an NPP person and in the evening, he is said to be PNC member."

"When you talk in the morning, they say this person is an NPP staunch person. When you say something different in the afternoon, you turn into an NDC member and in the evening, when you say a different thing, you are called a PNC person", he added.

Mr. Pratt wondered why his submissions should be linked to a political party.

"What kind of country are we building?...Why? Why do we worry ourselves like this?", he exclaimed.
