Cyber Security Authority Licenses 13 Providers, Accredits 3 Establishments, and 58 Professionals Ahead of Election 2024

The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has issued licenses to thirteen (13) Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSPs) and certificates of accreditation to three (3) Cybersecurity Establishments (CEs) and 58 Cybersecurity Professionals (CPs) who have met all requirements and complete the application process.

According to the Authority, these licenses and certificates bestow upon recipients the responsibility to observe utmost good faith in their duties, comply with Act 1038, and adhere to applicable laws including confidentiality and data protection obligations.

The Director General of the Cyber Security Authority, Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako in his address emphasized that they have engaged stakeholder’s extensively to refine the regulatory framework under Act 1038 and the invaluable insights gathered during these consultations have been instrumental in shaping their processes and he is grateful for the remarkable support and dedication from all stakeholders since the process commence.

He added that the importance of this licensing and accreditation process cannot be overstated, particularly as they approach the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

He made this known during the 3rd Licensing and Accreditation to Service Providers, Establishments and Professionals.

Dr. Antwi-Boasiako further stressed that the CSA will continue to support CSPs, CEs, and CPs by building their capacities and aligning their services with international best practices and in this regard, they have recently launched Industry Forum under the Section 81 of Act 1038 provides a platform for stakeholders to share ideas, shape policy and enhance industry standards, hence, he encourage them to actively participate in the Forum to address industry needs and foster continuous improvement.

A Board Member of the Cyber Security Authority, Amb. Esther Dzifa congratulated all the providers, establishments, and Professionals for going through all the processes to meet the requirements before gaining their licenses and urged them to educate their members who do not qualify so that they can also acquire theirs.
