Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah has admonished the Ghana Standards Authority to up their game in ensuring the quality of goods imported into the country and checking businesses to keep to the right standards of production.

The Ghana Standards Authority is responsible for the maintenance of acceptable standards for product and services and sound management practices in industries and public institutions in Ghana.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' morning show, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah, a Governance lecturer at the Central University, bemoaned the latitude offered to some companies producing low standard products or offering inferior services and importers bringing in products threatening the livelihood of the citizenry.

He charged the Authority to wake up and execute their duties effectively.
