Deep Apology To Koku Anyidoho

I do not really know how to start this message, but all I can say is, I AM VERY SORRY and I ask for forgiveness.

Ever since President John Evans Atta-Mills died in 2012, I have been one of the greatest enemies of Koku Anyidoho because I was made to believe that when the late President was alive, Koku had no iota of respect for Vice President John Dramani Mahatma.

We (me and my friends from the Volta Region) were recruited and made to believe that Koku is a very horrible person so we must ensure that we do everything possible to demonize him and make him look extremely bad in the eyes of Ghanaians in order to destroy his political career. We were told that he is embarrassing Voltarians so we must destroy him first before he destroys the Volta Region politics.

Nobody ever told us that Koku is, lazy, a thief, lacks integrity, or is not trustworthy; all they kept telling us is that, he is “anti-JM” so we should just destroy him in the media and “FINISH” him.

Over the years, my resentment for Koku grew to very high levels and there were times when I lost complete control of my emotions anytime I heard Koku speak on the radio-TV.

When Koku sought to become General Secretary of the NDC, myself and my group were the Voltarians paid to destroy his chances at the Congress Grounds at Trade Fair when we moved to where the other regions were seated to campaign vehemently against Koku.

Especially when Koku speaks to the issue of the death of President Atta-Mills, I get incensed and never stop wishing him dead too.

Honestly, I was made to believe that Koku is only crying for the late President because he wants John Mahama to look bad in the eyes of Ghanaians.

Without allowing myself to reason through the issues, my hatred for Koku grew even deeper when he begged President Akufo-Addo to construct the Asomdwe Park which I saw as a sign of betrayal and just wanting JM to look evil in the eyes of the public.

Recently, when the issue of the autopsy report of President Mills came up again, I wished I could just have a way of “finishing” Koku.

I have hated Koku Anyidoho with a deep passion until what happened last week at the party to supposedly celebrate the nomination of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, as John Mahama’s Running Mate.

First of all, never in the history of the NDC have we had such a moronic type of party to “celebrate” the choice of running mate.

Instead of properly outdooring the running mate via a comprehensive Policy Platform (as is the norm), they gathered to down bottles of hard liquor and eat gluttonously while the rank and file of the party are crying for daily bread.

What I heard Kwasi Awhoi say in the presence of his elder brother Ato Awhoi, just shook me to the marrow.

How on earth can people be openly gloating in the death of President Atta-Mills and also openly predicting the death of John Mahama?

So, people like the Awhois know how to get “nature to scheme” for people to “give way” for others to become Presidents isn’t it?

So, all these 12 years since President Atta-Mills died, Koku has been fighting a singular and sincere battle in wanting to draw the nation’s attention to something he knows that we do not know?

So, Koku knows that his father/boss suffered at the hands of some close associates - which led to him “giving way”?

How cruel and callous can people be just because of political power?

The confidence with which Kwasi Awhoi said that “ Anything Can Happen” to John Mahama just as it happened to President Atta-Mills is so scary and it is the root cause for which I have decided 100% to openly apologize to Koku Anyidoho for all the hatred I have had against him.

I even regret the more, for celebrating when Koku lost his 8yr old daughter in 2020 because I thought he deserved to go through such pain if he was such a pain in the butt of JM and the NDC.

Today, I have gone on my knees and begged God to forgive me for gloating in the death of Koku’s daughter because I now know that Koku has been battling very strong evil forces within the NDC without me knowing what he has been going through.

Today, I unequivocally renounce my association with every form of hatred for Koku Anyidoho and I know that in due season, I will meet him and apologize personally to him.

It is very obvious that some people knew about how President Atta-Mills was going to die and actually “schemed” the death and God has exposed them to the nation and the world.

As for my own John Dramani Mahama, I feel very sore for him for allowing the Awhois to tie a tight noose around his neck.

How do the Awhois expect their puppet Jane Naana to now work with JM when in the mind of JM, Jane is just waiting for him to die so she takes over from him?

How is the NDC expected to execute an effective campaign when the Flagbearer has been told to the face that he will die very soon (like his predecessor died and he took over) and the running mate will take over?

Under the current circumstances, I am taking a back seat from active politics to re-think my association with certain people who turned me into a monster full of hate and almost destroyed me.

In this Holy Week, I pray that my prayers of penitence will be accepted and answered by God.

Comrade Samuel Koku Anyidoho, please forgive me for all the hate I poured on you and may the cross you are carrying lead you to Calvary so you become victorious in your struggle to tell the truth about what you know as regards the death of His Excellency President John Evans Atta-Mills.

So, Koku Anyidoho’s only crime is that he has refused to gloat in the death of President Atta-Mills? Hmm!!!

Signed:

A Repentant Comrade.
